Meet our XMS user of the month: Nikunj!
Some time ago we announced in our blog the search for the XMS user of the month!
Today we would like to introduce you to Nikunj Shukla, a student from India who persuaded us that he deserves the title of “XMS user of the month”.
Read our interview with him below to find out why:
Hi Nikunj, please introduce yourself to our readers.
Hi XMS friends, my name is Nikunj. I come from Ahmedabad, India, where I study Computer Science Engineering at the Nirma University.
Nice! Tell us how you found out about eBuddy.
I am interested in technology and computers, so I was browsing new applications on my mobile phone and found XMS.
What mobile phone do you have?
I am an Android fan, so I have Samsung Galaxy S Advance.
That’s a cool phone! Do you enjoy XMSing on it? What are your favorite features?
Yes, sure. I spend a lot of time chatting with my friends on it! I enjoy using “Nearby” feature a lot as I can find other XMS users around me. Also, when I am on my computer, I always use Web XMS, it is a web application that allows you to XMS with your friends from a browser. I like it as it allows me to sync all my messages.
Who do you XMS with the most?
I mostly chat with my friends and family members. We find it really easy to keep in touch via XMS. I also use XMS with my colleagues in the university; this is where group chat functionality comes in handy!
If you had to describe XMS in 3 words, what would you say?
XMS – Just Awesome!
Thanks for the talk, Nikunj! We hope you will continue enjoying XMS!
Do YOU want to be featured in our blog as well? Keep an eye on our updates and you might get a chance soon.

The people behind eBuddy: meet Geert
Today we would like to introduce you to Geert, our backend developer. We had a short talk with Geert to find out more about his experience at eBuddy.
Hi Geert, please introduce yourself to our readers.
Hi, my name is Geert and I am one of the backend developers at eBuddy. I started working for eBuddy about a year and a half ago.
How did you find out about eBuddy?
A friend asked me if I was interested in a job and I dropped by for a coffee. I quickly realized that eBuddy was a very diverse and international company and within weeks I joined them.
Wow, that was a great match then! What excites you the most about working at eBuddy?
It is the scale that we operate on. Everything we work on is scaled for millions of users; this forces you to think twice about a certain solution.
Sounds both challenging and exciting. Can you tell us about the most memorable day that you’ve had at the company?
There is not a single most memorable day that I can think of. In general I really like the days on which we take the eBuddy boat for a tour on the canals. We have a company boat that we use in the summer; the office is located in the center of Amsterdam, a very nice spot by the canal.
And what do you do when you are not working? Do you have any hobbies?
When I am not in the office you can find me in the local boulder gym. Bouldering is a sport where you climb short routes on ‘boulders’. The fun is not in the endurance or height, but the difficulty of the individual problem.
Thanks a lot for the talk, Geert! Have a great day.
We hope you got some more insight on what it is like to work at eBuddy. Stay tuned for more interviews in our blog!
Happy chatting,
The eBuddy Team
