You have been waiting for it, you have been asking for it, but the day has come: A new version of eBuddy Mobile Messenger has just been released. eBuddy Mobile Messenger version 1.3 includes some nice improvements which make chatting on eBuddy even more fun. Here is what you get:
Faster login
We have been working extensively on speeding up the login process and made it three times faster than before. You will especially notice this when you have a long buddylist, are in an area with bad coverage or have a slower connection.
Less data usage
Some of you you told us that eBuddy uses too much data out of your mobile data plans. 
Although eBuddy was already pretty data efficient, we took a good look at it and found some more things to squeeze. Now eBuddy even uses less data than before.
Choose your own colors
Last, but not least, we also built in a brand new feature. You can now choose the color theme of eBuddy, to make it look the way you like it or match the color of your phone. And there is plenty of choice: blue, pink, green, purple, red, orange or black.
As usual we also made eBuddy compatible with more phones.

I wold really like it if ebuddy made a messanger like msn hotmail because i really like that one but my computer wont let me go on it. So that would be great.And make ebuddy so you can download it on your computer so you dont have to go online for it, it take to long. Ok thank you.

I go to get.ebuddy.com from my phone (android) and it gets me to choose a brand of phone, i choose HTC but then it does not have android.
I really would like to start using it in my mobile phone. I also cant find it in the Android Market.

Androind is the operating system your phone has on it. If its HTC then its probably the HTC Dream (T-Mobile G1) or HTC Magic.

Updates to the messangers data usage are always useful , although the data footprint was always pretty low anyway. On the LG Renoir I still can’t get sound to work on T-Mobile, which is a shame as it makes an otherwise good IM app fairly useless…
On P1i, when I use “Type directly in chat screen”, the backspace key closes the chat window ! The chat history is not maintained I reopen the chat window with the contact. Please do fix this. Love the colors.

I using Nokia E63. When I Type directly in chat screen, backspace key not working. and ussually on ver 1,2 if i want to delete word i using right soft key, now on ver 1,3 right soft key is using to close chat.
Now on ver 1,3 I can’t delete any word when i chat. Pls Pls fix this…
I have been using e buddy for a year now and all I can say with their service is excellent. Now that they keep on updating their features, what else can we ask for?
when viewing a contacts profile. we cannot view the personal message
please fix this..also the ‘close chat’ button is a lil confusing

i m using samsung sgh-j700. i am using opera mini as my browser made on java platform. i can browse easily without problem, but i cant use ebuddy 1.3 though i downloaded it without any problem. there is no problem with the operator’s settings, i ve been given full access. while downloading the program, i received a notice that my set is not recognised by getjar.com. could u plz help? thanx in advance…

hi, I have a Blackberry Curve 8310, blackberry appears as my brand when I try to download on step 1, but I have no options to select the type of model on step 2, so it doesnt download…. do I still have any change of dowloading any of the versions of ebuddy on my phone?

Yes, I also find the problems of all the yahoo messenger contact were gone, and only ( very ) few are listed, and also offline.
Other can still message me if Im in the middle of that state, but I cant message anyone…

I Like all the new changes u added but why there are some options have been removed such as let me see the personal message of my contacts…second when i select to review my contact list into groups it divided them to another contacts and it did not show me all the groups that i have on my windows live messenger…

It’s probably just my phone but I can’t minimize it like on my friends phone, I can’t read texts or do anything when I am on ebuddy. Also I am unable to upload display pictures or send photos. My phone is a LG KF510. I REALLY LOVE ebuddy and this application rocks! I especially love the vibration and sound alerts, this is what sets it apart from EVERY OTHER app. THANKS! (but I am going back to version 1.2 coz my phone is dumb). Can you fix this at all?

Backspace doesn’t work!! akhhhh I can’t delete my wrong words. my other problem with ebuddy v 1.3 is all my contacts become double. it’s so disturbing. it didn’t happen like that in v 1.2. pleaseee can i have the old version back? or please fix it soon. thanks..

ebuddy works ok on my lg prada kf900, except for the type directly into the screen. It simply doesnt work? I have the option turned on and everything, so I hope one day this will be improved. ‘

Im using the beta version of ebuddy on my nokia n97..it works gr8 and everything but when i try to chat to someone..it sort of jus gives me symbols rather than words? I can type out words on my messages..on the display name and custom message too..but for some reason it wont let me chat to any1..can sum1 please help me? Ive tried to reinstall it..tried to downgrade to version 1.4.1 even..the problem seems presistant..is there anything else i can do?

I found eBuddy version 1.5.0 tester..
I tried it so fast login.. but chat on facebook always disconnection.. support take a picture in memory phone. but still difficult to put numeric and symbolic when using direct fast writing.. i think ebuddy must be edit it. no diferences about beta version with current version.
I did try it version 1.5.0 BETA tester. I think is not BETA. because menu still the same with old version

try to another apps battery is normal and enjoy chat very longer. ebuddy compress data (SALS) isn’t good… so ebuddy no cheapest for chat… look ! mig33, parlingo, yehba, shmessenger ect.. there are good for baterry and very cheapest. thank

Hi! I just started using Ebuddy on my Nokia E71. The lowercase character for symbols doesnt work. Neither the symbol key. For uppercase like &, !, etc, i use the bottom left corner key in my hp instead of the shift key. Wondering why. And i tried to uninstall and install but failed. Please tell me how to delete ebuddyID and try again? Thanks!

but recently i updated the lastest version 1.5 seem to encounter some problem
can i know why i will recieve the same msg twice from my friend and always when i want to send my msg out, it needs to reconnect everynow and then.
previous i use the 1.4 version doesnt have any of this problem at all…

This morning I downloaded ebuddy messenger for my lg kp 500 (cookie) phone. After hours of wondering why it wouldnt let me sign it to msn, I finally realised that this is for ebuddy accounts only. Is there any way of changing this?

Why hasn’t anyone responded to many of the Blackberry claims here? I myself have a Blackberry 8520 and am not seeing it as an option for download, can’t anyone from ebuddy clarify whether it is that they don’t have any clients for Blackberry or if it’s just a temporary problem??????
