Good news for iPhone & iPod Touch users who use Facebook Chat on eBuddy 
: An update of our application is available in the App Store, with much improved connectivity & reliability for Facebook Chat!
The ’secret sauce’ we use is Facebook Connect, the official and secure way of connecting to Facebook. As an existing Facebook user you’ll be asked to upgrade to this new connection method when you launch eBuddy after updating to the latest version.
We’ve posted more info on Facebook Connect in a previous blog post: Facebook Chat updated on iPhone & Android.
Also in this update we’ve included support for iOS 4 multitasking. You can now easily switch between eBuddy and other apps instantly by double-clicking on the Home button on your iPod Touch 3G, iPhone 3GS, or iPhone 4.
Last but not least, we’ve also added high-resolution images for a picture-perfect experience on the beautiful new iPhone 4 Retina Display 
.

Will there be an eBuddy upgrade for the Lite version?
I found there was an issue in that I could NOT delete my ex g/f and keep her deleted from the app. Every time I reloaded the thing her name would pop up and nobody seems to know a work around other than delete the app.

I just downlaoded the Pro app onto my iPhone 4 but I don’t receive any PUSH notifications for new messages or new chats. I was able to receive a notification for a new buddy request.
I have notifications turned on in eBuddy and in the iPhoen 4 settings. I tested by suspending the app (going into multi tasking mode) and also by terminatig the app. no matter what I try, no notification.
Help!!! Am I missing something?

I love it..
I like it, however i have two big wishes:
- that you remove French translation, or have it corrected. as is, it’s awfully bad translated…
- adding support for Jabber. Should be very easy, since there is already support for GTalk…
For the rest, it’s really nice, and quite fast to load thanks to iOS4 multitasking
I have an issue with Facebook connect on Android, it keeps asking me to connect , and I put in the correct user id etc, but it comes back telling me it cant create the account ! when i go and look using Ebuddy Web then I see the account there, (sometimes twice). I have deleted the account and tried agian a few times, and sometimes that will let me into Facebook chat for that session, but next time I open up Ebuddy for Andriod it asks me again to login
and then fails again. This is a shame ‘cos this WAS working fine before FBConnect came along

Since I uploaded to this last version (with multitask) my eBuddy for iPhone crashes almost EVERY time the phone is blocked automatically. I’m using MSN, so the phone turns screen off and lock (with password) after 2 minutes (or other time choosen). When I turn the phone up (show the home screen and type the password), i see a message that eBuddy crashed last time used, and ask to send a mail. I have sent many mails, now i just cancel the message and it loads again.

Great, ebuddy really owns. Thought it would be great if it you could include conncention to any XMPP server. Shouldn’t be to hard since both GTalk and Facebook utilize this protocol. Thank you

Love the eBuddy application!!
The only thing I find that I really miss from the app is chat log saving or exporting. It would be amazing if it were possible to have the chat log saved as you message people so if the application crashes it’s still saved. The exporting would be great to allow for saving on a network drive for later, as I love rereading my conversations to see when events were or if I missed details about parties or business outings!
Other than that, the 7 days push notifications is an amazing feature as it saves the battery usage on my phone so I don’t have to keep backgrounding applications.
