THEMES
If you’re the proud owner of eBuddy Pro you can now personalize eBuddy by setting a theme. There are 11 themes to choose from, ranging from the very spacy ‘Retro’ to the cool and smooth ‘Dark Snow Leopard’ 
. So now you can make eBuddy look just the way you like:
AUTO-AWAY
With eBuddy your favorite IM accounts can stay online even when the application is not running on your iPhone/iPod Touch. Of course you get Push Notifications when new messages arrive, but you can’t always reply immediately. So we made a new feature: auto-away.
With auto-away you can automatically set your status to Away after a few minutes, and you can even set your own message that will be automatically shown to your buddies when they start a chat with you.
Pretty smart, don’t you think ?!
AND THERE’S MORE
In this update many other improvements were made, including:
- - Customizing your Push Notifications: choose to get a sound, alert, or badge update on new messages or chats
- - Seeing the nicknames of your buddies on MSN, AIM & ICQ
- - Several bugfixes

Ever since we launched eBuddy in the App Store last year we’ve been amazed by its success and the great response we got from you. In December we therefore added eBuddy Pro with even more features.
Our apps have now been downloaded over 4 million times !
We try to keep eBuddy simple and easy-to-use, but at the same time have the best chat features that you like. Here’s a quick look at just a few of the things we did in the last few months:
- - We added landscape mode so you can now chat while standing on your head
- - Now you can get Push Notifications for incoming messages up to 2 hours for the free version, and up to 3 days for eBuddy Pro

This is partly feedback, if you creators could create a calling button for the iPod/iPhone. So that people can call overseas or call thru buddy chat?

Does anyone know why I have eBuddy Pro Push settings in the eBuddy app settings AND also in the iPhone Notifications settings? What is the difference in the two sets of Push settings? Also… Anybody noticing more of a battery drain?
why does the ebuddy for 5800 show in just half of the screen? And can i find an ebuddy which is fullscreen?

One theme I would like is just a straight black theme. No backgrounds just black and dark to match the rest of my Ipod. Anyway just bought the app and it is the greatest. Easy to use, Simple to set up, A dream come true for universal IM-ing. keep it up.

I’d like you could auto-save conversations at least recent ones, like that they autodelete after two weeks or a month. So that I have some window of oportunity to check info that somebody pass me over a chat.

I like ebuddy on my iPod very much. The only annoying thing is that you have to change your name everytime you login to msn when that’s fixed it’s just perfect for me!! Thanks guys keep it up!
Ebuddy is constantly telling my contacts I am typing, even when I am not. Any chance this can be looked at?

I just purchased ebuddy pro for iPhone. I turned on notification settings inside app and in phone settings. I also checked vibration and sound with every new message. I choose to be connected for 3 days after exiting the app.
Push worked for a few hours after I bought the app, but is no longer working. I get messages when the app is OPEN but sometimes no sound (only vibration).
I have to reset my name and buddy icon every time I open the app.
Please fix these bugs! I paid for this app because I thought it was smooth!

I love this program for my Apple Touch but when I set an picture as avatar and I quit the program and than I open the program again it delete the last picture.
How can I fix this?

Cannot input Chinese/Japanese, list of words is covered!
There’s a rather big problem when inputting chinese/japanese on the iphone with your ebuddy app. When in landscape mode, the candidate list for words for japanese and chinese are below the line and covered up, in portrait mode, the first line is ok, but when you get to the second line the list of candidates is covered up too. I suggest that you make the candidate list appear above the input field so it doesn’t get covered up.

Itis a great program
iPod Touch user here, all I need is a simple app that will allow me to chat with my WLM contacts, just like in WLM with URLs, photos, etc. and allow them to see my (eBuddy) avatar and vice versa. Not sure what’s so hard about all that, if you simply look at WLM and provide that functionality, that’s it. But no one seems to be able to do it. eBuddy and one other competitor are close, but no one provides the avatar support. I’m tired of paying for apps that don’t deliver, and right now, I’m a somewhat disatisfied eBuddy customer. Definitely gets a thumbs down on support, the closest that I can get to an actual support request or forum is to comment here? Please, that’s not customer support.

I like ebuddy alot before the latest update. I added my Facebookaccount and now only my facebookcontacts appear in the contactlist. I tried everything and made sure both account were online but the problem is still the same. I do find it a pitty because the quality of Nimbuzz is nowhere close the one of ebuddy
Hi i downloaded the free version of the Ebuddy on my Ipod Touch 3rd gen.. y it was working fine until one day I got this error of INVALID USERNAME..! i dont know what to do!! i want to buy the full version but If i keep getting this issue then is not worth it, Please Help I love the product!
I cannot login!!! It’s taking soooooo loooonnnggg!! Please fix it! I even recommend it to a friend but very frustrating. I cannot login FB during the first intallation in iphone. The next relogin was unsuccessful. Keep on seeing “Loading….”

Ok, so reading people gripes above i haven’t been able to reproduce much. I’m running an iPhone 3GS on 3.1.3 and am a QA Pro in the net industry… i assume that people are moaning at you without looking into timeouts and connection issues with their phones… not your software..
Saying that, there are some gripes and good comments above.
1) a Call button would be nice, but I understand that you may not have the throughput to support such a service (hence the time it’s taken to get a 7 day push setup going)
2) Push does seem a little slow, is this a localisation problem with servers and people in different countries/states etc i wonder.
3) Chat History would be extremely useful, this is my second biggest gripe.. i used it a lot in palringo and switched to eBuddy pro when you announced the update… i may go back…
4) no standard cut/copy/paste support… this is ridiculous.. the phone has a great SDK and API, this should be implemented ASAP
5) my only really pie-in-the-sky wana have: Webcam support. At least for seeing my contacts, i know the iphone hasn’t got a front mounted camera (yet)
Smaller Gripes:
1) the internal Internet Browser is extremely slow and chuggy, this is while connected to WiFi and a 50Mb line..
Keep up the great work folks, your providing a great service here. And at the easter discount of 59p (UK) this was a steal and is defo worth the punt…
Overall a great app but definitely missing a couple of basic features that have been mentioned before.
1) conversation history
2) copy from conversation window (you can copy/cut/paste from/to the text input box but it really needs copy from the conversation window.
Would like to see support for skype text conversations (I don’t expect voice conversations just yet).
I have a problem with ebuddy app for ipod touch
when i start the windows live messenger aplication on my computer, i can not change the status that i have on ebuddy, actually the only way to apear online to my buddys is using ebuddy on my iPod, is there a way to remove my data form your servers or something ?
the app is great but now with that issue it really tick me of
i alredy reinstall all my computer aplications and try on a diferent computer, but stills the same thing.

I’m finding that my contacts list is not updating while logged in. The only way this happens is if I manually log out each of my accounts and log back in. Can this is fixed in the next ebuddy pro update for the iPhone? It’s really frustrating not knowing who is online.

Im looking for a “sign-in as invisible” option when sign-in Yahoo messenger. Because when i log-in, in My info section, it always set default is “online”.

I recently unlocked my iphone 3gs and is not running on 4.0.. HOWEVER, after restoring my apps I can’t seem to make ebuddy to work. once i sign in it automatically crashes out on me. Is there any way I can reactivate it?
i am not getting the alert icon with the ebuddy both lite and pro versions contacted apple they told to contact the developer for the same…..Please help with the same….

MSN Accounts with username@ w.cn wont work on ebuddy
I really ahte being unable to save conversations. I’m a newbie with eBuddy and my colleage sent me bus times and numbers to me via MSN. So today I got off the plane and went to retrieve the bus info from the saved conversation…….and found that they chats don’t get saved anywhere. Nightmare!!!! Big omission, from an otherwise excellent app.
