Update June 26th: Over the last week, our stats for Facebook Chat have gradually improved and the majority of our users can login & chat again. If you still have issues, we have not forgotten about you and we are doing all we can to find a structural solution

Update June 17th: Since 4 AM (European Time) this morning we are experiencing severe Facebook issues. We are working on an update, it should all work fine soon.
Facebook Chat on eBuddy has just been updated. Everyone using Facebook Chat on eBuddy probably noticed it wasn’t working very well lately. You either could not login at all or you were disconnected a short while after you logged in. Sometimes sending or receiving messages even caused problems. 
Now time for the good news! This weekend we have made some big changes and Facebook should be a lot better now! Try it for yourself and login to Facebook Chat via our homepage, add it to your eBuddy ID or use it on your mobile phone!
Let us know if you still experience problems, by commenting on this post or sending feedback@ebuddy.com. Thanks for your patience while we were fixing these issues.

I emailed yesterday about facebook chat and saying how I could sign in but I could see none of my facebook contacts online and they couldn’t see me!
I noticed that you replied about a screenshot for some people, but for me I seem to be able to sign in without any error messages it’s just everyone appears offline to me and I appear offline to them so assuming it’s a minor teething problem.
But thought I would let you know.

Can you please try the following:
1. Try to login to eBuddy
2. If you get an error again, go into Accounts Settings
3. Re-enter your password for Facebook & save… Read More
4. Then try to login again.
Let us know if this helps.
Still can’t login. Used to get an error saying wrong password or user name. Now no error message, just doesn’t login.

I have just signed up. MSN and Gtalk are good but Facebook gives error: You have been signed out, without any further notice.
Ok I can now log in to facebook but no ones online to me and I’m not online to no one this is quite frustrating now as its been going on for 4 days!

YEAH!! That’s great news. I’ve been using facebook as for conversing with friends and family instead of IM chat for ages now. I just found out about eBuddy and it is fantastic, specially because of the facebook chat feature. Thanks a lot for creating such a great app.

I think this whole facebook chat thing is hot air . I have had ebuddy on my phone for about a month now and i have tried reinstalling it , re entering my password and logon , and logging on via the website . None of them have worked . I just wonder why ebuddy claim facebook chat Is a feature when it really dont work. They just want some of the millions of facebook users to download it and steal your passwords . . NO ONE i know has ever managed to make this work with facebook . .

Ebuddy is frustrating the hell out of me! I can log into everything except facebook, keep getting an error message saying wrong user name or password! I have checked and double checked and just to be sure checked again and trust me its not the wrong password or user name. I have logged out of facebook then back in using my password and user name so how can ebuddy tell me its wrong?

Hi. Im having problems with facebook chat. When i am logged in it tells me i have no contacts online but i know i have. Also i do not show up on my friends chat lists neither like im not actually logged in. Yet msn works fine for me, i can see whos online and easily have conversations. Is there a solution to the facebook problem? Does anyone else have this issue or have had it previously?

i have the same problem as you, can log into msn fine and chat away but when i try to use facebook chat on ebuddy web or ebuddy mobile none of my contacts show up.
I also checked on facebook and their is friends online.
please ebuddy, looking into this and get it fixed.

It’s great that eBuddy exists, but: facebook login still doesn’t work. Not through a webbrowser (Safari, Firefox, IE8) on the laptop or through the iPhone (OS3, 3G).

I am having the same problem with facebook. Is it my ISP or my browser that is causing the problem.
I log onto facebook but then the ebuddy verification text asks for my birth date. I enter it in the exact format it asks, but it says “I didnt get that. Please enter the date correctly…”

This is a joke! Ebuddy is supposed to be better then meebo which also will not connect to facebook at the moment. Maybe its a a problem across the board. However at least meebo worked up untill a few days ago!

Think maybe eBuddy needs to add grants in facebook to allow external apps to connect to facebook.

Hey everyone - I HAVE THE ANSWER.
As many people on this forum have, I have downloaded eBuddy (for my Sony Ericsson W995) and then come across the date of birth issue when trying to get Facebook Chat to work on it.
As mentioned by many others above, it specifically tells you how to type it (ie: the American format of month/date/year - 05/08/1984) but it doesn’t work. Nor does it work if you switch it around to the English way.
However, I tried one last thing and now it works perfectly.. I put “May/08/1984″.
TYPE THE MONTH AS A WORD AND YOU SHOULD BE OKAY.

Looks like it’s a problem with ebuddy, I tried deleting my facebook login (which gave an error), and now I can’t create a new one (just sits doing nothing)
I just download the very new version of eBuddy, 3 hours ago, version 1.4.2 for my Sony Ericsson W302. But still i cant login to my Facebook chat. Somebody please fix this…..
i have not downloaded FB Chat but use it from my browser. Should I be able to see all my FB buddies [on and offline ] or do i need to add them manually. also what is the no entry sign in front of certain names?

i use a htc hero/t-mobile G2 Touch, both my myspace and facebook accounts disappeared from my ebuddy account, when i try to add them it says ‘the given account could not be added please verify if the supplied information is correct and please try again!’
but the account information i put in is definately correct.

you can use ebuddy without downloading it. just go to browser and put ebuddy into your browsers. Easy.
Thie facebook chat was working fine untill today. now I get an error message that says:
