So far this version looks promising on my BB Curve. One issue though, Google Talk implementation doesn’t seem to support custom domain, in other words any email other then gmail.com. Am I missing something?

@Nedim: You are right about the GTalk custom domain, this is not possible yet. We however fixed this and it will be supported in the next release.

I am entering this message here, because i found no email address to support anywhere on this website.
I have used eBuddy for a while, but a few months ago some of my contacts disappeared from the eBuddy list, while still visible on my Live messenger.
I hoped this changed when I installed the newest version yesterday, but no, there’s about 10 contacts missing on my mobile still.. What is different between microsoft’s messenger and eBuddy messenger?
This is a nuisance, because two of my most used regular contacts are missing on the mobile.
Except for this problem, I think eBuddy is a magnificent product!

Please update your website. Ebuddy mobile does not work on either Moto Q9h or Samsung Blackjack II. Downloading and install works fine, but when you go to load it, you are unable to get past the “select a language” screen.

Hi. Would like to point out a bug I’ve found since the earlier versions till now (V1.00)
I’ve a Nokia N78 and if I were to open the eBuddy application and immediately press the “Menu” key on my phone, I will get an error on my phone: “Application error: Application will be closed.”
Also, it would be nice if you could change the function of the “red/end call” button. Currently when I press this red button, it would exit eBuddy completely. This is annoying as sometimes, I would accidentally press the key and I will be exited from the application while in a conversation. A good idea would be to make it “minimize” when I press the red key, so that I would not be logged out accidentally.

The red/end call button indeed closes the application directly. There is unfortunately not something we can do to prevent this, your phone will close any application if you press this button. Agree that minimize would have been nicer
Vincent, I sent two emails to feedback detailing the problem. I have not yet heard a response. I also left a detailed description of the problem here, but the post was removed.

I’d really love to start using this program but I have a blackjack II and I am getting stuck in the setup menu. Is there anyway to bypass? I cannot choose a language because the button that I am supposed to press is my home key. Any suggestions???
I just set this up on my Motorola V3xx. Tried installing to phone and memory card, still cannot set it to stop asking to connect every 10 seconds. Very cool app, I’m guessing my hardware/firmware is the problem. A matrix on your website that shows which phones this app is functional on would be great… as I am upgrading shortly and really want to be able to use eBuddy on my next phone.
hey, great job with the app. I have a problem, 3 minutes after login, i get a message ‘invalid session’. and many times when my buddies talk to me i dont receive any messages..
After a waiting to connect for about 5 mins…it sign me in..but after 1 min of chating it says “invalid session” …its anoying…

Well, i really like the new version and the “send photo” feature… but do you think about adding something that let me send photos TO the mobile client from my PC? I use Pidgin on PC and i get the photos send with ebuddy on phone (well the link to it) but i cant send anything to the phone… no picture “files” and no urls :/ so, you care about adding something like this? ^^ btw, yeah my english really sucks, sorry for that

3 days ago, my friend sent to me some picture (with short url from tinyurl), I can easy to recieve its. But today, when she try to send to me another pictures, it’s not work. Tinyurl cannot be direct to ebuddy (she use mobile, I’m using PC). Then, how can I see its, if I have her account on ebuddy (from PC, sure).

Can you please check if the first letter of your password is Capatial? Some phones do this automatically. You can disable this by pressing # or * on your phone. If you still can not login, please send an email to us on feedback@ebuddy.com

AT&T charged me almost $300.00 dollars for using the yahoo messenger with my unlimited internet plan, they said it is text message based. Your application seems like a dream come true i really thank you for making it without SMS charges. I hope it stays that way if so. Because carrier companies are misleading/tricking customers with yahoo and the rest of the messaging applications!

Hello someone help please now it wont even let me sign in it signs in for ages then goes “invalid sesion” its so annoying!

I keep getting an invalid session thing when i sign in. Before it used to happen every hour or so and I would have to go out and log back in. It also takes a VERY long time to sign in which is so frustrating.
I cant create my ebuddy ID, it says that my mail is invalid..:s What should I do??
for people above with the problem about your ebuddyID do it online on a computor it works then (well did for me).

Hello i have a ks360 and i wnted to know how to download ebuddy onto my phone because i cannot find it on the list. my freind also has the same phone and she has ebuddy on her.
When We send a picture it is stored on ebuddy server & can be seen through a url, If this picture storage at ebuddy server is secure, Can anybody see those pictures ?
How long these picture will be kept at ebuddy server & when they are deleted.
If ebuddy team is working on the security of those pictures ?
secondly, is there anyway to save that picture in your mobile, when you recieve it from your buddy

Tried downloading the z6c, z6, and versions and they all do the same thing. On the Select Language screen, I pick English, and clicking OK does nothing.

I have used v0.99 on my LG CU500 and it has worked great. I have tried to upgrade to v1.1. The install hangs after the language is downloaded. I can get v0.94 to run but would prefer to go back to v0.99 if that is possible. Can it be downloaded from your site or is it just v0.94 and v1.1 now available. I really enjoyed using ebuddy and would hate to have to stop now. v0.94 really isnt in the class of v0.99. Any help would be appreciated.

Is it secure to send pics using ebuddy as they are stored on ebuddy server. Also for how long they remain there on the server. If anybody knows this then please reply.

i dont know why ebuddy team dont test thier product well ! especially at the Motorola’s phones cause when u download they ask at language then they say error !! these is a really bad product for 1.2 v and the older versions dont work too so hope u fixed in the new version . thx ebuddy team xxxx

hi.. ive been using ebuddy messenger on my nokia mobile phone for a while and i must say, i love it very much… iwas using the version 1.1(or 1.0) before you launched the ver 1.2. i love the interface of the 1.2 version for the nokia e63 however its annoying that the backspace button wont work if your deleting the text, you would have to go to the top right button jthat says delete for you to delete the txt. i would love to see the same interface on the nokia e 71 version. and can you please let me know how will i be able to use the characters when typing directly in the chat window? characters such as the underscore “_” is not working.. also you cant go back to the word or text the u already typed so if i typed a word incorrectly and notice it after i already type the next word, i cant go back and correct it, i would have to delete the words that i already typed to get to the mispelled word that i wanted to correct. thanks please let me know through email thansk. and more power.

loading to long to login and then says “It took the server more than 90 seconds to respond.
Logging in with star_blash has not succeeded.”

for those people with nokia e 63…in order to backspace you need to press the left Gray control button then the * asterix sign…that’s the way i did it to work…if anyone knows a faster way pls let me know

i get invalid session every other time i launch ebuddy on my lg dare 9700… usually closing and resigning in will be successful. in either case, it is slow to connect.
How much does it cost to use ebuddy on a mobile phone? If i does cost does it just cost when you first download it, everytime you log in, weekly, monthly???? Please help because i really want ebuddy on my phone but i dont want it to cost too much and i really want to know the price. Thanks

I have Samsung X650, it’s in the support list, but when I try to download it from wap (http://get.ebuddy.com) it says invalid JAD file and nothing happens. I’m not sure it’s really supported, 0.93 was the last it worked on it but that went wrong and I can’t find it:( (I spent two days with google, i found links but none of them worked from wap)
2 this page comes on my phone default in hungarian (I’m from hungary, its OK, but there is no link for older version.

I’m continuously getting invalid session on my samsung f480. Seems no one gives a flying f*** about fixing it
Having installed it on my iPhone, and it works fine, I noticed a lot of blocked contacts in my yahoo. So I deleted them.
And now, logging in again, all of them are back again.
Thoughts?
i have no credit. and it lets me sign into ebuddy but not into msn, do i have to have credit to go on msn ??
i have tried it a number of times, and it signs in on my ebuddy but goes into setting, saying i ned to sign in. it will not let me sign in with msn or anything else i have. with phone lg 360

I also have problems using Ebuddy on my lg dare and it doesnt support pictures either which sucks because its one of the best camera phones on the market.. if you read this try to download nimbuzz the support is much better
hi, I need some help… when I sign in on my Samsung U900 Soul, a tip comes out saying something like: “While not chatting, minimize the application to save your battery. Go to Menu -> Minimize”. And when I enter the menu, there is no Minimize option. Is there any other way to minimize ebuddy?

I have nokia 2626. i have installed ebuddy, download froam my phone.
Download is success. But afer i finished download must confirmation, that i can connect internet.
Connection successfull, and then i must select language to install that. When i select language and install still proccess, i can continue my install. at my phone, show text “application error” and i look detail error, and explain that “out of memory error java/lang/outofmemoryerror”.
Free memory in my phone ” still 503 kb.
Anyone who read my comment, please give me solution.

Can someone plz tell me how i can change my personal message because everytime i change it after i log out it goes back to what it was before so whenever i log on its changed to my old personal message!
