Hello! Welcome to the eBuddy blog. Here we talk about our passion, the team and our products.

Beta testers wanted for Mobile

Posted by JJK on August 1st, 2007

Already, the eBuddy Mobile Messenger works on over 300 types of mobiles.

Is yours not supported? :( .It is quite a task to test eBuddy Mobile Messenger on every mobile phone, let alone that differences in firmware may already cause difference in behavior on a single type of phone. I haven’t even started talking about different mobile operators with network glitches….

So if you have issues getting online and you want to make sure that eBuddy will work smoothly on your phone, please send us an email to feedback@ebuddy.com and mention your phone model, country, and mobile operator.

We’ll let you know if we think we can make it work and help you get online with eBuddy Mobile Messenger.

And of course… really helpful users will get rewarded with some unique eBuddy gadgets. :)

Hope to hear from you soon,

JJ

I tried it on my Sony ericson v600i and went through the whole setup process and tried to connect, it disconnected my messenger on the pc saying i signed in on another device but the mobile messenger just sits on connecting then disconnects on my fone….tried a number of times with same outcome…same for all three logins avilable on the beta.

You should fix the buzz thing because you can do it like a hack. Is the nudge hack but is programed with the beta and all of the things. Fix it please.

  46. Ruud Says: June 27th, 2008 at 8:19 pm

I’m using a T-Mobile MDA Plus / HTC Touch Duo with Windows mobile 6.

I keep getting the request if it can connect to the internet, but the problem is I only have these options:
    A) Allow this time and ask me next time.
    B) Do not allow this time.
    C) Never allow.

So I have no option that says “Always allow”.

I can go to JBlend and I only have two options:
    A) Ask me every time
    B) Never allow

    Any ideas?

  47. Sebas Says: July 1st, 2008 at 1:00 am

I have the same problem as Andy:

    Scenario tested with:
    Blackberry perl 8100
    Using EDGE
    v4.2.0.67 (Platform 2.2.0.39)
    Provider: Movistar
    Country: Argentina
    Service: Connected to Enterprise Server
GTalk not working (it says: “not enabled in this device”)
    Y! working properly

    eBuddy Test:

Application installation worked fine setting the full url (to the .jad file, using get.ebuddy.com/beta doesn’t work after click on “Accept”)

When I load the app it says…

    “Loading language”
    “version 0.99″

    “Loading interface”

    “starting internet”
    “Testing internet connection”

“-CONNECTION SUCCESSFUL-” (at the same line as the previous text) and after that a new page with:

    “-CONNECTION FAILED-”
“Your internet setting must be activated for Java Applications….. yada yada”

One more low severity issue: when i get that msg and i want to close the app, the message is showing the TAG, not the text: “%TXT_T_SURETOSIGNOUT%”
