Lite Messenger: offline messaging

Posted by Vincent on May 27th, 2008

After many, many requests, we have just released offline messaging for Lite Messenger on m.ebuddy.com!

As of today, you can now send messages to your friends who are offline, direct from your mobile phone. To view your offline contacts in the Lite Messenger, simply go to settings and select “Show offlines”. Lite

We know you spend a lot of time online, even if it’s not 24/7 yet ;-) . That’s why we now also support receiving offline messages. When you login to the Lite Messenger, you will immediately see the messages that were sent to you while you were offline.

We hope you like it, and as always, please keep those ideas coming!! You can share your thoughts on what we should add next by clicking on “Please let us know what you think”, after logging out on Lite Messenger.

    Hi, thanks a lot, I use mobile eBuddy on my SE K550i, but I want to use the app, I think it’s much better, maybe this is no place yo say this but. I’ve problems with it, once installed it checks the connection and it’s ok, but once I enter my email and password it says. “Invalid Sesion” what happen? it’s a bug ? or I’m making mistakes ?

    Hi Andres,

    Your phone is supported for our Mobile Messenger, so we would like to find out what the problem is you’re having. Could you send an email to feedback@ebuddy.com, so we can ask you some more questions to investigate?

    Thanks, Vincent

    I would like the www.ebuddy.com (::: eBuddy Web Messenger :::) to have offline messages too. Like really I don’t have a cellphone, I can’t download the new MSN messenger, but I always use eBuddy. Please I just hope they would add ‘offline messages’. Pleassseee and thankk yyouuu!!! (= (yn)

    Don’t know if anyone actually reads these messages, but would like to make a few comments which the survey did not cover… I have only been using Ebuddy for a few days…. Under each Account, the the checkable statement [Sign in at startup]. Wasn’t sure whether this referred to the actual start up (boot) of the computer, or [Sign In] to Ebuddy… and I don’t like having another another Window being opened for the actual chat or messenger. But so far no major problems and it seems to work (function).

    @Millicent:
    Keep a close eye on this blog, cool stuff coming up for the Web Messenger ;-)

    @ Micky:
    The sign in at startup refers to sign in to eBuddy.

    @ aLESHIA:
    You can send offline messages by going to settings and selecting “show offlines”. Now you see your offline contacts in the contact list and can send them messages.

    I have Nokia E63 mobile phone. Though this is not in the list, I downlaoded ebuddy mobile messenger and installed it. I have the option to send offline messges. But the problem is that when I send offline to one of my friend but when he logs on Yahoo Messenger in his laptop, he cannot get any offline. But when he sends offline I can see that in my ebuddy mobile messenger.

    Could you please tell me my friend is not getting any offline from when when he logs into Yahoo Messenger in his laptop.

    Hello ! Could you please explain one thing ?
    Some time ago I received offline messages with eBuddy Mobile (MSN) and later after I log in into the “real” MSN I received them again so they came in history log.
    But now - if I get an offline message with eBuddy then I don’t get it with “real” MSN and no history log.
    Sorry, I hope you can understand my post. Thanks :)

  46. Emma Says: June 29th, 2009 at 8:48 pm

    Hi, I think the receiving offline messages is all good and dandy.
    But it would be better if you received the message you didn’t get to read when ytou was last on.

    Example;
    if you fall asleep with ebuddy on your phone and the person sends you say 2 messages and than you wake up and wonder if they left you anything you c ould check.

    Basically you should add the last chat on the top of the starting chat / have a kinda chatlog thing/ or do what youve done with receive offline msgs and just send the ones we didn’t read.
