Thanks to all of you who have helped translating eBuddy in your own language the last couple of weeks! As of today, eBuddy is 100% fully translated in the following languages:

Portuguese (Brazilian), Chinese (Traditional), Chinese (Simplified), Dutch, English, Finnish, French, Hungarian, Italian, Swedish and Vietnamese.

And therefore I would like to give some special thanks a couple of translators who truly worked completely voluntary all day and night to complete their translations before the new release this week!

    I have install eBuddy on my SE K800, the installation is finish, when I am using the software, first thing that the application doing is checking the GPRS connection. After checking connection completed, the application ask me about language, but….I cannot install a language because when I press change, the option only xhtml and html. Where is English ? What happen with my installation ?

    Hey guys, there’s a spelling mistake in the link where you show “Thanks!” in several languages. The spansih one is wrong, the correct version is MuchAs Gracias, not “MuchOs Gracias”. Replace the O with an A.

    El messenger de Microsoft ha actualizado la lista de urls bloquedas porque considera peligrosas para los usuarios y ha agregado a ebuddy.com, una web que ofrece conectarte al messenger de Microsoft desde la web sin necesidad de tener messenger instalado.

    Hasta que no lo hemos visto con nuestros ojos no nos hemos creido que Microsoft ha decidido bloquear los enlaces web escritos en una conversación de messenger que apuntan hacia ebuddy.com

    En MessengerAdictos siempre hemos recomendado usar el MSN Webmessenger de Microsoft ya que hoy por hoy es la única web que nos inspira plena confianza al ser la propia Microsoft la empresa propietaria de la misma. Siempre existe el riesgo de que nuestra clave sea capturada por piratas informáticos si usamos servicios no oficiales. No es la primera vez que algún delicuente ha creado una página web ofreciendo un servicio que luego era fraudulento y no funcionaba o que almacenaba los datos personales con fines poco éticos.

    Sin embargo es cierto que ebuddy se ha ganado una gran reputación como servicio de webmessenger por lo que es poco probable que se trate de un servicio fraudulento. Además, hasta ahora Microsoft se lo estaba poniendo bastante fácil, y es que el servicio de webmessenger oficial se ha quedado obsoleto y necesita ser mejorado urgentemente si quiere convertirse en el webmessenger favorito de los usuarios.

    Todo apunta a que dentro de relativamente poco tiempo, Microsoft lanzará una versión de webmessenger basada en silverlight, la competencia a Adobe Flash.

    Quizás este bloqueo de urls es un movimiento estratégico de Microsoft para acabar con su competencia más directa en el campo de la mensajería instantánea web online? o por el contrario ¿todo ha sido un simple error?. El tiempo nos dará la respuesta. A favor de Microsoft hay que decir, que no sólo se ha limitado a bloquear esa web, sino que ha ampliado la lista de enlaces a webs que eran utilizadas para enviar spam, spim o incluso por virus y gusanos para tratar de infectar a quienes pulsaran sus enlaces y visitaran esos sitios.
