We have just launched a new version of the eBuddy Web Messenger Beta. Thank you for all your feedback, we have put it to good use and made some changes to the design and the code. It is still very much a work-in-progress, so please keep testing everybody!
Contact Filter
One of the new features we’re delivering is the Contact Filter, which you can see in the screenshot. Just type in a few characters of the name of the contact you want to chat with to find them instantly! No more hunting and searching through your list of contacts to find that one guy (or girl). To see the entire list again, just delete the text in the Filter. It is instant! We are pretty sure you will love this feature.
Multiple Networks
Did you know you can access multiple chat networks at the same time? Chat with your buddies on MSN, Yahoo! and AIM, all from the same application. Click on the “plus” after your name to add more accounts. You can even have multiple accounts on the same network logged in!
Spit & Polish
Even though this Beta release is mostly stabilizing and bringing the application in line with the design we’ve made, there is already a little spit and polish going on… Try opening a couple of chat-tabs and rescaling your window for instance. This and some other stuff will be blogged about by the development team in a couple of days.

Hi gjs1992,
Are you signing in with your regular MSN, Yahoo! or AIM username, or are you trying to login with your Beta Account? It is a little confusing (there, I admitted it!), but you have to login to the Beta Blog with your beta account, from there on you can login with your regular chat accounts.
If that’s not helping, post some details so we can give you a hand, or solve some bugs!

A few things right off the bat-
1) I want to have Google Chat as a protocol
2) I want IRC as a protocol
3) I want ALL 5 protocols working same time
4) Use a X by Y coordinates randomizer using Java-Script and a cron with Ajax so the buddy window floats over ALL websites no matter what website the user goes to. Dont say its not possible. One easy way is to use Mootools with a algorithm such as “Johnson’s Law” or “Backpack Kit” algorithms. There are a few more suitable algorithms but these work well.
5) Most importantly where is the business model?? Seems you should partner with EVERY major social networking community or network and co-brand. Also you can piggy-back off of some bad ass mail client.

great that you changed it so that every time you send an IM the chat box doesn’t lose focus. It was very annoying and made it almost unuseable.

I like the fact that when i received a msg, there icon on my task bar actually has scrolls. its pretty neat as i don’t have to keep checking if i received any msgs esp when i am using this in the office so got be more discreet.
Down side: I can’t change my display picture, font or text color , receive emoticons or get notifications about incoming email(This one isn’t that important).
I know you guys are trying hard. Thanks for the effort. Keep it up. Overall this can be better even though its great now.

You *can* log in with all protocols at the same time. Right now you just have to login with a primary one, then add more by clicking the plus icon after your name. You’ll see there are quite a number of protocols we support, all the ones on your wishlist in fact.
Number 4 is interesting, that is something that would tie in with something we’re cooking in the secret lab… Would like to elaborate, but I can’t - stay tuned!

im using ebuddy beta version on my phone 0.9.0 version but for some reason it every time disconnects me , and i get error message service connection lost
i also got oder version of ebuddy and that works fine , but the 0.9.0 one is the one im having problem with may i know if it’s me or the beta version becuase it does all the time i chat for about 5 or 10 minutes then i get logged off and error message appears saying service connection lost , please help me out in this need it whilst im in uni / work!
umm i like it then i do not like the beta. Y can’t i buzz the other person???

In the MSN client you can indeed send buzzes to the people you chat with. If it doesn’t work then please press the feedback button in the client and tell us what does / does not happen…

When i was chatting whit my girlfiend, the ligth gone of and my compuetr too. When the ligths come again I turn on my computer and I can’t enter in my hotmail or my MSN account!!

Sorry, I don’t really understand the problem… Can you try to reset your password at the MSN website? We don’t do anything with your passwords, we just send you through to MSN.
I have vertion 0.91.0 it has not allowed me to log in on my sony ericsson w850i for 2 weeks.
